    Question Sonic: 2D, 2.5D or 3D?

I prefer an 3D Sonic game. I only made this poll because I wanted to know what everyone thinks on what they think a dimensional should a Sonic game be. Though I kind of like 2.5D Sonic games like Sonic 3D Blast. 2D is good though. 3D is fun. 4D...Is something that I've heard alot from other people an yet I'm pretty curious about it. Since I just added 4D there, I need someone to rename the topic to add 4D in the topic name.
A Blue Hedgehog who runs at the speed of sound...
A genderless Nightmaren who flies in Nightopia...
A Shooting Star who flies around the Valdi System...
A human boy who uses his legendary chicken suit...
A Rudie skater who sprays Graffiti around the city...
    Together...They'll be unstoppable...

I like 2D and 3D, I hated Sonic 3D Blast though. I always preferred "Sonic 2's 2d gameplay out of the other classic and modern 2d sonic games" but I do like the level design in Sonic Advance 3 as it is full of gimmicks (however some are just overused). I like some of the 3-Dimensional Sonic games (e.g. Sonic Heroes, Sonic Unleashed and Sonic and the Black Knight).

Sonic 3D Blast wasn't even 3D, I think, it was more of an isometric.
Sonic Unleashed forever, I don't give a crap what all of you say. The HD version is especially awesome.

You can read this wiki version of Sonic 3D Blast but I think it is 2.5D.

Sonic 3D Blast is 3D. It just has a really weird isometric angle to it.

The forth dimension is a space-time continium, you can't see it, touch it, but you can move forward in it. I dont see how Sonic Team can even pull that off.

The only way to visualize that dimension is a cube, but something has to be perpendicular to it to act as Time.

Im pretty sure Spider-Man Edge of Time tried doing this by giving Spider-Man dimensional powers where he can go back in time and move at speeds that leave constant after images of him lost in space-time, but it really didnt portray that in the game that much... so yeah.

I went to a Science Emporium 5 months ago and they had a high school physics panel,
I also found an image that can explain the fourth dimension.

This one is a little more, understandable though.

I always like a 3 D's but mostly 2.5D and 3D especially in sonic colors where most of the game is in 2D bringing back that ol' classic flavor to the series.
The 3D bits where the exciting parts where it showed glorious sights to see especially in tropical resort.
The Sonic 4 series was excellent as well with its 2.5D gameplay but it also shows some points in each game where you can view sonic from a 3D perspective as well.
    Goodbye Hedgehogs, Hello plumbers!
