Interesting little Lua, but it would be easier to give proper feedback with some kind of file for us to use ourselves to test on several objects.

Incase you don't try it out in single player,
Custom 1 pick's up objects/players.
(Only gargoyle's, players, pushable objects, and springs, and monitor's can be picked up.)
Interesting stuff.
Some comments:
- The character select description for Mighty doesn't fit the screen.
- Having a unique ability is good, and having a good unique ability is better. I like it.
- You can carry stuff through walls. Haven't checked in multiplayer, but carrying players through walls might be problematic. Can probably fix by just adding a check to see if you can move forward or if there's space in front of you with the added object/player that you're holding
Pretty cool overall.

The only things that go through walls are objects, because of A_CapeChase but the reason for this was to keep it from colliding with players once they got close to a wall, players on the other hand use a different code to keep them with the player
