View Full Version : [Level] HeroesAdventure- Green Hill

If you have watch the preview I made for V3 (nobody's subscribe XD) you have see I show a " Green Hill " stage.
It isn't from SA2B or Sonic1, I made it myself.

The level itself isn't very long but it tooks me more than one week to made it. (Because my life isn't easy, homework everyday -_-# school and MY LITTLE SISTER!)

The begining of the level is in 3D, but after the second checkpoint, it's in 2D.
If the 2D section of the map is confused when you look it with DoomBuilder it's because I take it from the first level I made.

2D SECTION SCREEN (Taken with noclip and god, you can't acces these angles of 2D section.)

If you're a good SRB2 player you can finish this level Under 2:00
If you find the shortcut of 3D path, you can easyly finish it Under 1:30.

KNOW GLITCH:

The checkpoint into the 2D section respawn you into 3D if you died.

You can fix that 2d bit with the checkpoint by:
1) create another sector or use the current sector where the checkpointis.
2) Tag the trigger linedef (which has the 2d mode) to the sector with the checkpoint.

That's it, I've been doing it in my mod as well. Unfortunately my beta is still WIP so I can't show my example (plus it would be advertising which is wrong) but I can make a custom example to show you what I mean if you don't understand my short explanation.

It's now been 2 days since you posted this, hey give RDD the constructive criticism so that he can learn how to be a skilled mapper, I don't want to see this topic die.

I thought that the some parts in the 3D sections (especially near the beginning) were a tad cramped, and I also found out that after you enter the 2D section, if you make your way back to where you entered the 2D section from, there's some glitchy textures and HOM effects. Aside from the glitches you've already pointed out, this is a pretty solid level. Good job!

I've played levels that has the modern and classic like gameplay of 2D/3D sections in SRB2 and I know that when you host with wads like this only the server plays the level correctly like he/she can play it in 2D when it is suppose to be in 2D and 3D when its suppose to be, but when the players do that they still be in 3D when they're suppose to be in those 2D sections for some odd reason.

I'll play this sometime later on.

Hello guys, sorry for the wait I have fixed some glitches of the map (3D check into 2D, slime trails, such as possible).
