    Yeah, Sonic Team develops the game, and Nintendo publish it on their system, just like how Bungie develops Halo and Microsoft publishes it onto their system.
    It's up to the Developers to make the decision whether to add more characters or not.

    Well for now sonic is only playable so if sega decides they want to add characters they'll release DLC for it.

    I'm noticing how most of this stuff is for the Wii U version, when is it going to be the 3DS versions turn to get the spotlight?
    All it got was a trailer so far, so is there something so special about the 3DS version that they're not showing anything off from it?

    Why SEGA?
    Also, where's Sonic's voice, I only heard him talk when he got shot out of the cannon, they need to put voice effects on top of the jumping sounds.

    SEGA's trailers are dubbed over the original gameplay. They may not accurately represent the game's true SFX. See: Generations' E3 and Modern Era trailers.
