This guys sounds quite convincing, it is a weird change in controls for a Sonic game. And the fact that you have to hold down multiple buttons just to go at max speed sounds annoying. But I haven't played the Wii U (I never going to be able to afford a Wii U) so I can't give a full opinion plus this guy says he's asked other people if they had the same problem but there are no statistics on the page that show me that it's true so I can only rely on secondary data (which could be misleading or wrong).

I'd still get the Wii U version if I could as the levels and the gameplay look amazing in the trailers, I know that I'll quickly get used to the control scheme.
